Gwyne slept for days at least it felt like days. She didn't think about nothing she just drifted. She had no where to be and nothing to do and for the first time in her life she had enough money that she could just be, if she wanted to. Fifteen thousand might not seem like a lot to some people but to her it was a fortune. She couldn't help but play around with the various possibilities in her mind. There was almost nothing she couldn't do, if she wanted to.

One afternoon she gathered up all the money and put it on her bed just so she could roll in it and throw it up in the air. She jumped about on her mattress and bounced feeling like she had won the lottery. The problem now was what to do with it. Originally, her plan was to put it straight in the bank but as she laid in her pile of cash, she realized she couldn't just deposit fifteen grand with no reason. Of course she also couldn't just leave it lying around. It wasn't doing any good just sitting here.

She counted it up twice then put it in a paper bag and left it on her kitchen counter. For almost a week she debated what to do with it. She'd pass by it throughout the day and just stare at it and smile. Then, one day she finally got enough energy to tackle her mail. She had a few late bills, not final notices but it wasn't ideal. She added up all her bills and then estimated how much it would cost to pay each of her bills for six months in advance. It was a decent chuck but she still had so much left over.

She wouldn't need to worry about finding a job anytime soon. She would of course still look but was no longer under any pressure. So what should she do with herself all day? She knew she couldn't just sleep forever. She could watch TV, work out and go shopping but she'd eventually get bored and she didn't really need more stuff. She considered going out and having some 'fun'. With this much cash she could go clubbing every night of the week for months but after her latest tryst with Dawson, she found herself quite sated.

Dawson...Dawson...Dawson, she didn't want to think about him or any of it right now. She knew at some point she was going to have to do something about him but right now she was just glad to be away from him and have some time to think or not think. Their last time together had been more then overwhelming and she didn't know what she was going to do about the next time, if she even wanted there to be a next time. She used to wonder where he disappeared to weeks or even months at a time but now hoped he wouldn't call upon her anytime soon. Maybe the problem would just go away on its own.

After a while, she got a piece of paper and a pen, then sat down at her kitchen table. She wrote down a list of things she might like to do with the rest of her money. She listed off a few hobbies she'd like to try and thought she could give some money to Tawnie. She knew she'd been doing gig work lately and was staying with her cousin, since getting back from her trip. She might also get her bike fixed. She wondered how much it would cost to get the tires replaced. It would be nice to get her license so she could go anywhere she wanted with ease.

Thinking about fixing the bike, of course, made her think of Corrie, which made her depressed.

She could tell he'd come over a few times and was showing all the signs of wanting to make up, but it somehow felt so empty this time. They had been on this endless cycle for a while now. She felt like she was on a merry-go-round that went around and around but never went anywhere.

She stared of into space for a few minutes, thinking about it. Did she want to get off? Did she need to go somewhere? She knew she wasn't quite ready to let go. Maybe one day, but for now she would just like to ride it a little longer. She used to like this ride, didn't she? It used to be her favorite, but now it just made her sad.

She decided to wait on fixing the bike. She didn't have that much money and it was probably going to be very expensive. She got something to eat and Mr. Charles showed up surprising her. He informed her she had a salon treatment. It had been a while since she'd gone. She threw something decent on and went.

They styled her new hair cut and refreshed her make up. Then they started applying all sorts of creams all over her. When she asked about it they said Mr. Hazley had ordered it. She really wished Dawson would talk to her before signing her up for weird ass treatments. She asked what it was suppose to do and one technician said it would make her more photogenic. It took her a second but she recalled he wanted her to take professional photos, at some point.

One of the beauticians noticed the new scar on her butt. Gwyne wondered if they saw stuff like this all the time. She worried they might be able to tell it was from a cigar burn. She bit her lip unsure if they could or couldn't tell ultimately they were professionals and didn't say a word. When her appointment was done she did feel a bit refreshed and had to admit she looked rather good in a mirror when she checked herself out at home.

She started going to the gym again and her trainer really wanted her to focus on her flexibility and holding various positions. Once again she knew it had to be Dawson. He was planning something for sure. Before their last get together she might have been excited about a surprise but now knowing what he was capable of, she found herself full of dread. She really was going to have to start putting her foot down or end things.

One afternoon, after she'd gotten out of the gym, she asked Mr. Charles if he could take her some place that sold hobbies, like the mall or something. He said he knew a place much better then the mall and took her to a hobby store downtown. She saw all sorts of things there, they had just about every hobby you could think of and more. She got herself some modeling kits, puzzles, painting supplies, beads, yarn and other various crafting goods along with things to store them. She more then filled up her cart and had completely lost track of time and her budget.

She realized this was way too much stuff and started to put things back. Mr. Charlies stepped up to her and nearly scared the life out of her. She realized she must have taken too long as he usually waited in the car. She apologized for keeping him but he didn't seem bothered. He asked what she was doing and admitted she was putting some things back she had gotten a bit 'too ambitious.'

He asked her if she could check on the car really quick. He needed to pick something up then he'd assist her in putting things away, if she needed. She thought it was weird that he'd asked her to check on the car but went outside to take a look. It was right where he'd left it and looked fine. When she came back inside it had only been a second or two but he was gone along with her cart. She walked down all the aisles looking for him and wondered if he'd left.

She started to head back outside and saw him at the checkout. They were bagging everything she had picked out. She quickly rushed up to him her face turning red. She didn't understand what he was doing. Before she could say anything he informed her, Mr. Hazley had taken care of today's purchases. If there was anything else she might desire, she should add it to the purchases. She wondered how Dawson knew she was at the hobbies store. Had Mr. Charlies called him or had Dawson called him. Was he following her again! She stood there for a moment trying to process it but kept thinking about a massive castle kit she had admired.

She went back and grabbed it knowing it was insane but it looked like it would be fun to build and it reminded her of this dream she had. Something about a castle in a storm. She'd get this strange feeling in her stomach like it was important. Maybe building this castle would help her remember. Either way it looked like it would be fun to build. It was so expensive they had to get someone to take it down from a high shelf. The box was also so big it had to sit in the back seat with her as it couldn't go into the trunk. She wondered where in her apartment she was going to put it once she'd built it but figured she'd worry about that later. So much for having too much stuff already! She laughed and shook her head looking out the window. On their way back to her place they stopped at one of her favorite restaurants. Mr. Charles asked her to wait and went inside. She figured he had ordered himself something while he was waiting on her.

He came out a minute or two later with several bags and a drink. He put them up front with him and drove her back to her place. She rushed up stairs to unlock her door so they could bring everything inside and noticed hundreds of red velvet roses at her door and a large stuffed animal. She shook her head knowing it had to be Dawson. Mr. Charles brought the bags of food and drink up and put them on her kitchen table.

She thought it was weird but Mr. Charles informed her the food was also from Mr. Hazley. It was a treat for her 'good behavior.' She didn't know what to say to that. It had to be awkward for Mr. Charles to say such things. She thanked him and told him to thank Mr. Hazley before helping him bring everything inside.

Once Mr. Charles had left she took a moment to look over her food. It was still hot and looked like her all favorites. How did he know she liked that restaurant and just what she liked to order? Again was he spying on her, he had to be! She looked over his roses thinking he'd gotten her too many still they smelled lovely. The stuffed animal was also huge but so soft and snuggley she was sure she could use it as a pillow. Everything had come with a card. She set the stuffed animal down in a chair at her kitchen table then carefully pulled one rose out, making sure not to prick herself. She buried her nose in it breathing it in before she read the card. It was only a few lines, he was pleased she had chosen to be constructive and hoped she'd enjoy her new found hobbies.

She shook her head and rolled her eyes but smiled. While this was a bit creepy it was also nice of him. She supposed not every surprise of his would be gut wrenching. He could be sweet in a weird stalker-y kind of way. She hadn't really wanted to think about about him given how overwhelming everything had been last time. She was excited to have a break from him but after this admittedly she did miss him just a little. Which of course only made things problematic. She was suppose to be getting some distance and time, to 'consider' things, not catching more feelings and confusing herself.

She pushed him to the back of her mind and ate slowly. When she was finished she spent the rest of the day unpacking and playing with her latest purchases. Her place was a bit of a mess but she had a lot of fun. It rained over the next three days and she dabbled in just about everything. When the sun finally came out she decided she needed to take a break and get some fresh air.

She split up the rest of her money, putting aside two thousand two hundred for Tawnie. She hoped she wouldn't ask too many questions about where it came from because Gwyne wasn't quite ready to tell her everything just yet. She hid the rest under her mattress, then put on something casual before calling Tawnie to see if she wanted to hang out.

She hadn't woken up yet but her cousin's kids didn't mind getting her. She heard them jumping on her bed before she picked up the phone, "This better be life or death!"

"Nah, it's just me. You want to hang out?"

"What day is it? What time?"

"You got me," she said, "I just looked out the window and saw the sun was up."

"Uhh," said Tawnie. Gwyne heard some rustling before Tawnie yawned and said, "I got an errand or two to run then we could meet up at Michin's around lunch. You know the place?"

It was a bar downtown they'd been their once or twice. "I think so, I'll catch you then."

"Great," said Tawnie. She must have been tried because she forgot to hang up. Gwyne heard the kids screaming and running around while Tawnie chased after them madly laughing. Gwyne hung up then checked the time before planning her route. She left a half an hour later. She had to switch the bus twice but made it there by noon almost on the dot.

Tawnie was already inside. She was sitting at the bar, having a beer and eating some nuts as she watched something on one of the TVs. Gwyne stepped up beside her and took the stool next to her. Tawnie glanced at her then did a double take before crying out.

"UHH! WHAT THE FUCK!" She waved her hands about, "What the fuck is this shit!"

"This what?" asked Gwyne having no idea what she was referring to.

"Uh, hello! Your hair! What did you do to it!"

"Oh, right!" said Gwyne she had finally gotten used to it or was still in denial and had forgotten she'd gotten it cut, "It's uh new."

"New, that is a word," said Tawnie still looking at Gwyne like she had lost her mind.

"Yeah," she said nervously, "What do you think?" as if she couldn't tell from Tawnie's reaction.

"It's" Tawnie looked it over again then took a swig of her beer. "You pay for that or did some psycho chase you down in an alley and the only way to escape was to let them chop off all your hair?"

Gwyne laughed, leave it to Tawnie to be brutally honest, "Yeah I hated it too at first but it's growing on me." The bartender finally noticed her and she ordered a beer, "I'll have what she's having." He got her a beer then stepped away.

Tawnie just kept looking at her, "Why did you cut it? Like you never cut your hair. I haven't seen you with short hair since...since we met."

"Yeah, I know," said Gwyne she took a sip of her beer but then mostly shifted it from side to side. Tawnie kept looking at her. After a minute she raised her hand and asked for a shot of something. She was going to need something stronger than a beer to get through this. The bartender poured her a shot as Tawnie just kept staring at her. She wasn't going to let it go.

"Well why did you do it?"

Gwyne took the shot then lied, "I felt like a change."

Tawnie nearly burst from her stool, "YOU DID IT FOR A GUY!"

She ordered another shot then took it down as her cheeks went red. Tawnie knew her all too well and could see right through her bullshit. It was another reason she was her best friend. Even when Gwyne was lying to herself she'd be able to tell...well sometimes, nothing was a hundred percent.

"GWYNE! Last time you 'thought it was time for a change' it was cause of some asshole. DON'T TELL ME YOU DID THIS FOR A GUY!"

"YES!" she just admitted it closing her eyes.

Tawnie sat back down shaking her head, "What have I told you! What did I say last time you did shit, call me, call me if a guy asks you to change some shit, call me! If I can't stop you then at least I can have a good laugh."

"Right like you called me with the blue chicken leg."

"That…" she hissed was not over a man. "I was drunk."

"With an ex."

"AH AH!" she said shaking her head, "Nah drinking is a whole other beast. You...I bet you did this sober didn't you!" said Tawnie waving her hands about gesturing to Gwyne's head. "Seriously, must have been some guy to get you to cut your hair. Or did Corrie break it off and you want a fresh start?"

"What no...no." said Gwyne, though she could see herself cutting her hair if he did. She had read somewhere you cut your hair when you break up with someone or get your heart broken that way when it grows back you will know your heart is healed or at least time will have passed. She'd done it herself after the shit with Tobias. It had looked so choppy and awful. Thankfully it had grown out some when she first met Tawnie.

"Then what, someone new?" asked Tawnie. Gwyne sighed and Tawnie guessed "Mr. Right Now, STILL! SHIT."

"Yeah," she admitted.

"Oh ho ho, this guy. You must have it bad or something!"

"Or something," said Gwyne nursing her beer. She knew she needed to slow down otherwise she was gonna get herself drunk before it was even ten minutes past noon but she felt a bit wound up at the moment.

"Soo what's new with you two, you're like never at your place anymore."
"Yeah he tends to whisk me off my feet."

"Right," said Tawnie, "I still want to meet him."
"You can't," said Gwyne.

"I don't give a shit what he says. I met Corrie didn't I and he said we couldn't meet!"

"Yeah," she nodded Corrie had said they couldn't meet but had still met her but only cause Tawnie thought Gwyne was making him up.

She...she really didn't think Tawnie should meet Dawson. If she ever found out about even half the shit they'd done and the shit he'd done to her, Tawnie really would flip out and get a blow torch. Corrie...Corrie would probably be pretty upset too but he'd want her to stay away from Dawson and suggest going the legal route but Gwyne had done this to herself. She had the chance to walk away time and time again but she didn't.

"Hello!" said Tawnie tilting her head. Gwyne took another swig and realized she'd zoned out right she'd asked about meeting him again.

"This guy...he's not like anyone. Someday you might run into him but not right now,"

"Why not?"

"I think I told you on the phone."

"I was half-awake I barely remember you even called."

"Well things are a little crazy and I'm not even sure how much longer I'm going to be seeing him."

"Oh yeah, now I remember last I heard he was overwhelming you?"

"Totally!"

"Really, what happened?"

Gwyne rolled her eyes. She didn't really want to go into it but at the same time she did. It would be nice to get it off her chest and tell someone, especially Tawnie "Where do I even begin."

"How about from the bottom to the top. I want it all."

"Well, it's been a lot between a surprise gang bang, food play, and underground fighting. I don't know which you'd like to hear more."

"WAIT! WHAT! YOU WERE IN A GANG BANG AND DIDN'T CALL ME!"

"Shit, Tawnie!" Gwyne hissed looking around she was glad the place was near dead but the bartender paused wiping a glass and she was pretty sure he took a few steps closer to listen in. She knew she shouldn't have told her, at least not in public. She wasn't even suppose to be talking about anything until it was over. "I told you it was a surprise! I didn't really have a lot of time to think about it let alone call you!"
"Fuck, when was this?"

"Uh, I don't even know a few weeks ago maybe a month. Like I said things have been pretty crazy."

"Well deets, I want the deets come on," said Tawnie before she ordered herself another beer.

The bartender was only too happy to come over and get her another. He lingered for a bit but Gwyne waited until he'd stepped away to continue. She slid herself closer to Tawnie, hoping to avoid his ears then went on, "Okay so like he took me on a date. Like he told me he was coming to get me and like Corries came over while I was getting ready-"

"DID THEY MEET!" Tawnie asked excitedly.

"NO WAY!" said Gwyne shaking her head that would have been a whole nightmare onto itself. "He just pulled up and honked. He didn't come inside. I think Corrie came to make up but like I had already made plans with Dawson and given Corrie doesn't want more I just went."

"YES, OH YES! As you should! If this guy ends up being good for anything let him bust you two up!"

"No!" said Gwyne, "Don't even joke about it! We still haven't made up and we might not this time. I mean uhh can we just not." said Gwyne.

She really didn't want to think about it. She wanted to be stronger. She knew how he felt about her now. She knew this thing of their would eventually end like her and Dawson but while she felt a sense of relief thinking about one day calling it quits with Dawson, her chest would ache every time she thought about Corrie and her even coming close to an end. She still...would always care about him.

"Eh," said Tawnie sticking out her tongue but nodded, "Okay okay," She made the motion to zip her lips and nodded.

"Alright, so I went on the date and he was acting really weird, for him like dull. Usually he acts all cocky like total ego on this guy. He is full of himself but like that night he was all deflated and was just full of shit. Like he took us to a movie and fell asleep and then at dinner just kept glaring at me. He got all snappy and we got into an argument and I was like ready to be done with all of it."

"How the fuck did things go from being done to a fucking gang bang!" said Tawnie before taking a swig of beer.

"Well," said Gwyne, "He got suddenly happy. His mood can change like that." she said snapped her fingers. She of course skipped over him paying her ten thousand to wear a mask. Tawnie would definitely call BS on that. She would have agreed to take the money but then dump his ass. She went on, "We went for a drive, then he took me to a hotel room and like watched me do five guys."

"FIVE!" said Tawnie getting a sly smile on her face. Then she furrowed her brow, "Wait? What do you mean he watched? As in, as in didn't join in?"

"Yeah," said Gwyne, "He just wanted to watch."

"Shit, this guy! I really have to meet him at least once and size him up. You know me I got a kind of sixth sense for this shit and this guy keeps getting crazier and crazier. He's married right, the one with the kids?"

"Yep and you have no idea. He has to be the craziest guy I've ever met but the things he can do. The way he can make me feel." Gwyne shook her head then took a sip of her beer before adding, "It's shameless!"

Tawnie laughed, "So how was it? It's been a while since I was in one. Sometimes it can be amazing, you know things can get wild and crazy as shit but I have also been in a few that were just ehh, you know."

"I know I think gang bangs are just like hooking up with anyone. Sometimes, its just the luck of the draw, only in a gang bang you have more chances to find a winner."

"Right one out of five, you hope!" said Tawnie crossing her fingers.

"This time was five out of five," said Gwyne with a laugh.

"No way!"

"They were professionals."

"What like male hookers?"

"I guess." said Gwyne not really having thought about it. "He like called someone and ordered them."

"SHIT! So not only did he watch but he paid these guys, fuck this guy is a glutton for punishment."

"I think it's the other way around. He gets off on seeing others in fucked up situations. He's a sadist."

"Uh, whatever that sounds good to me. I just keep getting duds lately. Like guys that will barely last fifteen minutes."

"Hey it happens! I got a guy the other night, when we went to the bar by my place. He looked like he knew what he was doing but the whole things was just uh," said Gwyne shaking his head, "The condom was over sized and kept falling off. Guy maybe lasted five minutes tops and I just wanted it over with at that point. I swear guy was a total newb and even asked me how much it was."

"Fuck, where was this?" asked Tawnie.

"Hoogins I think. The men's room."

"Fuck! Wait NO! I heard a guy got stabbed in there!"

"What!" said Gwyne.

"Yeah some young guy, fresh off the bus from the country or some shit. He was taking a shit and then some guy just comes up behind him as he's washing his hand and shived him," said Tawnie making a stabbing gesture.

"Did he die!"

"Nah, Tony you know Tony he goes in there and just finds blood like everywhere. Guy is gonna live but just barely heard he's gonna be in the hospital for a while."

"Some introduction to the city."

"I know, I wont be surprised if he goes back home."

"Totally I definetly would," said Gwyne, "That's the last time I fuck in there."
"No shit!" said Tawnie nodding then she got back to it."So how long this gangbang last?"

A sly smile fell across Gwyne's lips. "Well, it started out fast. They all rushed me at once but after a while they started taking turns and it went all night."

"ALL NIGHT!" burst Tawnie. "Like ALL NIGHT... ALL NIGHT!"
"Yeah about that maybe a little longer, I was so exhausted after. I think I slept for a week maybe two straight."

"Where did he get these guys? I swear if I don't get to meet him at least give me some names, phone numbers, addresses, especially if you break up so we can have some fun once you're done. Man I need to get me a professional gangbang. I don't even know how to get the regular one it usually just happens."

"Well...usually you put a flier up or an add in a magazine, a time and a place. Pictures also help alot" said the bartender. They both looked at him. They'd been so focused on their conversation that they didn't notice him sneaking up on them. It was a little creepy and he realized that quickly offering them free shots. They didn't turn down free shots and he lined them up continuing. "I haven't done it personally, I'm just saying I've heard about a few that did. Usually if you have a handler, a guy you trust, who's like in charge, it goes a lot better for everyone. The guy can keep everyone in line and knows who's good enough or not. You have a level of trust and a code word for when you want a break or need to get out. Maybe he's more of a guide, yeah, kind of like when you do shrooms. I mean you could do them on your own but with a guide it's so much better."

"Yeah." said Tawnie before taking her shot "How much better?"

"Loads," he said "I know a guy. I got the hook up for shrooms,"

"I don't know," said Gwyne. "I always worry about getting the wrong kind and having a bad trip. Like I've heard some stories about people thinking they are a balloon that is going to get popped or getting super sick."

"Again I got the hook up ladies! You don't want to get them from some random guy. You want a guy who knows what he's doing." Gwyne took her shot then another at the same time as Tawnie before they exchanged glances. This guy was contradicting himself. He said you don't want to get shrooms from some random guy and he was a total rando.

Another guy came and sat down at the bar. Gwyne wasn't sure how long he'd been here if he'd been listening or not but their conversation was looking like a party at this point. The payphone rang and Tawnie got up. She seemed to know it was for her. "That's me."

She went over and picked it up. "Yeah hello, yep twenty-three. Carter, yup be there in a jiff." She hung up and came back over. "I wish I could stay Gwinnny but I got shit to do sorry. If you want to tag along you can."

"Yeah." said Gwyn.

"You ladies leaving, already" asked the bartender as they got their stuff together,

"Yeah I wish we could stay would have loved the 'hook up' and all but we got to go blow some guys down the street." She cackled. She always used to love to say crazy shit to strangers before they ran off. Leave um looking or at least dreaming.

The bartender perked up as Tawnie put some money on the counter for her drinks. Gwyne put down money for her own drinks and laughed. "Nice meeting you!"

"Yeah, any time, come back, free drinks," he said.

They both just laughed and walked out. On the sidewalk Tawnie shook her head. "Uhh Slimy ass," She shook her shoulders and continued, "Wont be going back there."

"What? Why not? He seemed to have the 'hook up,' Gwyne teased

"He was watering down the drinks when I came in." said Tawnie.

"What no way, that's bullshit!"

"Fuck yeah, guy talks about having the right guide and having hooks up, yet waters down the liquor. Right there, it's a no for me, who knows where else he's cutting corners. Two rules never water down the booze or trust a man with a temper."

"Why'd we meet up there, then?"

"Uh cause it's across the street from the restaurant I need to pick up at and they have a phone I can use."

"Fair enough. So you doing a delivery then?"

"Yeah I got a few food pick ups and drop offs. They made me wait forever I swear, said it wouldn't be ready for an hour."

"That must suck"

"Yeah it does" she said. "Nice to at least have some company. We've been so busy lately feels like I never see you."

"I know," said Gwyne sorry about that. "I was thinking we might take a trip soon."

"That would be fun have any place in mind?"

"Anywhere that isn't here," said Gwyne.

"Sounds like a plan." said Tawnie.

They went into the restaurant across the street and Tawnie gave the girl behind the counter the order details. A waiter brought out shrimp pasta, lobster rolls and half a dozen or so pieces of cake. It came out in a few large bags and was a struggle for the both of them to carry. It was a good thing Gwyne had come with her if not she might have had to make multiple trips.

"You need to get like a wagon or something." Gwyne said as they left the restaurant.

"That would be nice but how would I get it on the bus?"

"They have fold up wagons but I guess if it's full of food and stuff that wouldn't help."
"Yeah,"

Honestly a car would have helped but Gwyne knew not to bring it up, given Tawnie had her licenses suspended last she checked.

"A motorized scooter would be nice," said Tawnie

"Don't you need a licenses for that?"

"Not for all of um some are considered the same as bikes."

"Well that would work, maybe get a few baskets on it."

"Don't you have a motorcycle?" asked Tawnie. "I think you mentioned it when we were last hanging out."
"I did remember someone slashed the tires."

"Oh right, fuckers! Can you get it fixed?"

"I should be able to but I still need my license for it anyway. Honestly, I don't like thinking about it cause it just makes me think of Corrie and our fight."

"Well then hawk it for cash. Might as well maybe we could get matching push scooters."

"Yeah maybe," said Gwyne but she didn't think she would ever get rid of it.

Even if they were currently fighting. Fuck even if they broke up she wouldn't because it had still been a gift and that had been one of the happiest days of her life. They went into an apartment building and rode the elevator up to the seventh floor. It took them a second to find the right apartment. Once they did Tawnie set her bags down and knocked.

No one answered and she hissed,"This better not be another crank delivery!"
"You get those?" asked Gwyne.

"Yeah, assholes call in food, then ditch and it comes out of my pocket. If I ever get my hands on the fuckers. I swear!"

Something suddenly slid out from under the door and a voice called out from behind it. "Leave the bags at the door."

Tawnie picked up the envelope and counted the money before she nodded, "We're good."

Gwyne set her bags down and they left as they were getting on the elevator the door opened and someone quickly brought the food in. Tawnie pushed the elevator buttons then pocketed the money. She took out a list of her other pick ups, looked it over, then said, "I have a few more food deliveries to make but once we're done lunch is on me."

"Actually." said Gwyne. She didn't know when a good time would be too give her this. I want you to have something. She opened her purse and pulled out an envelope.

"What is it?" asked Tawnie taking it.

"Just I know you've been busting your butt and it would be nice if you had some free time and less shit to worry about. Maybe you can even get yourself a motorized scooter now."

Tawnie looked at her suspiciously but opened the envelope "SHIT! How much is in here!"

"A little over two thousand."

"Two thousand. You get paid for that gangbang?"

"NO!" she said. "He did give me some money but not for sex for doing all the shit like the hair cut and his crazy list.".

"Fuck, I don't know." said Tawnie looking at her hair again.

"Really it's fine take it."

"I could use it but I don't know. It feels weird getting money from you especially today."

"Why cause I don't have a job? You used to give me money all the time even when you didn't."

"No cause like... it's like your birthday"

"What? WAIT! Really?"

"Yep," said Tawnie shaking her head. "Damn! You've been fucking so much you lost some brain cells. You should come up for air every now and then."

"I do," Gwyne laughed "I've just been-"

"Busy." said Tawnie giving her a sly look.

"Yesss that." Hissed Gwyne.

"Well it's good to be busy but there is something called too busy. I swear I thought you were turning into a prune. Now I can never got a hold of you."

"Hey it's not all on me. You've been pretty adventurous too."

"I know." she said with a smile. "So what are you going to do any plans with Mr. Right or Mr. Wrong.?'

"Who is Mr Wrong?"

"Take a guess," said Tawnie.

"Well knowing you, Corrie!"

"Ding! Ding! DING! We have a winner folks!"

"Corrie is not Mr. Wrong and Dawson is definitely not Mr. Right. As I've said he's just Mr. Right Now. There is no way I could ever settle down with him. And no I don't have plans with either of them."

"Who says you have to settle down at all. Live it up! All I'm saying is bring me along sometimes with you and Dawson, is it?"
Gwyne's eyes went wide, "No! I mean shit! SHIT!"

"What!" said Tawnie looking concerned.

"Don't tell anyone his name like ever."

"What? Why?"

"Cause he has a stupid thing about it okay."

"Seriously."

"Yeah," said Gwyne. She struggled not to elaborate that he punched her in the face several times for saying it. She knew Tawnie would definitely want to hunt his ass down and given she now knew his first name there was a chance she could. "Let's just move on okay. I have no plans with either. Was there something you wanted to do?"

Tawnie shrugged and got a little smile on her face, "I'm sure we could find something for you to do."

Gwyne had a feeling she had something in mind but before she could ask, Tawnie opened the door to a restaurant. Gwyne realized they must have been at their next stop. She looked at the place and it was one of those fancy ones, where you couldn't pronounce the name and needed a reservation in advance. It reminded her of the kind of place Dawson might take her to. Though she suppose she had enough money now that she could take Tawnie and herself but it was probably like five hundred a meal. While she liked a fancy meal, there were so many other things she and Tawnie could do with five hundred.

They stepped up to the host's stand and the host quickly looked them over no doubt assessing them. His face twisted slightly and she knew he could tell this wasn't their type of place but to his credit he still asked, "Can I help you?"

"Pick up." said Tawnie.

"Name."

"Porter."

"Porter's pass code?"

"Raspberry." said Tawnie with a dull sigh.

"One moment," said the host then he stepped away. He vanished around a corner and Gwyne raised an eyebrow looking at Tawnie.

"Raspberry? Pass code?"

"Yeah some of these fancier places have higher security. The customer pays in advance and they can't just have anyone picking up an order."

"Wow." said Gwyne.

She wondered how people would even know there was an order available. Did they just randomly call out a name and hope there was? She knew she was probably overthinking this. Tawnie let out a sigh and started looking around. Gwyne decided to look around as well. It really was a nice place. The inside was massive with high ceiling and sparkling chandeliers. It had a lot of greenery and a fountain that looked like a water fall. There was also a live band playing classical music. This was definitely some place Dawson might-

Gwyne froze, she'd been scanning the room, looking at the various tables scattered about when she saw a man that looked a lot like Dawson. No it was Dawson! Yet it couldn't be him he was out of town or some shit...right? She didn't know he didn't exactly share his plans with her. Maybe he was back or something it had been some time but-

The host returned and cleared his throat drawing Gwyne from he stupor. "It will be but a moment."

"Alright," said Tawnie.

The host nodded then turned and greeted some actual patrons as they stepped up to his podium.

Tawnie stepped beside Gwyne and followed her gaze. "What you looking at?"

"He...he's here."

"Who!"

"Mr. Right Now!"

"No way! Oh wow! Where?" asked Tawnie excitedly.

"There," said Gwyne nodding in his direction "Across the room, the table with the flowers."

Tawnie looked then pointed out. "Uh they all have flowers!"

"The white ones."

"You mean the dude with the pregnant chick?"

"Pregnant chick?"said Gwyne. She looked back at Dawson and then finally turned her attention to who he was sitting with. It was some young woman, around their age perhaps, who had a small lump around her middle. Was this his wife? She wasn't sure what to expect. Perhaps it was another lover?

"Is that his wife?"

"I don't know," said Gwyne. "She looks awfully young to be his wife. He said he had kids as in more then one."

"Ehh if he married her young enough they could have half a dozen by now."

"Maybe or maybe it's another lover." said Gwyne.

"Oh the plot thickens!" said Tawnie excitedly.

"What plot?" asked Gwyne raising an eyebrow.

The woman got up and they both grew quiet. They watched as she excused herself and went into the women's restroom.

Tawnie smiled, "Well let's fine out, shall we!"

"What! NO! Tawnie!" called Gwyne but she was already barreling toward the restroom. Gwyne was afraid they'd be caught but rushed after her.

They got to the restroom and the young woman was already inside one of the stalls. Gwyne grabbed onto Tawnie's arm and tried to pull her out of the room but Tawnie wasn't having it. They both silently mouthed to each other. Gwyne saying come on and Tawnie saying no way as she adamantly shook her head. Gwyne finally gave up as she heard a toilet flush. Both girls turns to the mirror and started fussing with their hair.

The young woman came out and began washing her hands before she touched up her make up and hair. Tawnie turned to her after a few seconds and Gwyne thought she was going to die as she made small talk. "Oh wow I love your dress."

"Thank you," the woman said smiling politely.

"When are you expecting?" asked Tawnie

"Not long." said the woman and Gwyne swore she almost beamed with pride.

"That is so great! You and your husband out there, look like you're gonna make some cute babies"

"OH NO!" said the young woman shaking her head. She made a small face before she laughed and continued "That's my father!"

Gwyne's jaw dropped and her breath caught in her throat as her mind spiraled. Father as in like her dad. Like as in her parent! Like as in Dawson was the father of a grown ass woman!

"That's your dad. Oh wow my bad, sorry!" said Tawnie.

"It's okay." said the woman before she put her make up away, turned and left the room. When it was just Tawnie and Gwyne. Tawnie turned to her and mouthed. "FATHER!"

"I think I'm gonna be sick." said Gwyne feeling queasy. "I knew he had kids but I thought they were like little kids."

"How old is this guy?"

"Apparently older then I thought."

"Well maybe he had his kids young. Or married a woman who already had kids. Maybe he adopted?"

"Yeah maybe but still she's like our age. I could be his-" Gwyne cut herself off and gagged.

"Ehh," said Tawnie. "I've been with guys older then my dad. Besides didn't you date that one guy in college?"

"Yeah but he had like little kids I think his son was maybe eight at best."

"Hmm," Tawnie shrugged. Then she playfully smacked Gwyne the back and said "Well congrats on dating a grandpa!"

"What!" said Gwyne then she realized Tawnie was right, not only was Dawson a father but he was literally about to be a grandfather. "Shit!" Tawnie laughed no doubt finding all this hilarious. Gwyne shook her head and said "I think I need a drink." She couldn't help but be reminded of the village dream she'd had.

"You and me both. Let me just pick up the order and we'll go."

"Yeah." she said.

They walked out of the restroom and she couldn't help but looked over at him as Tawnie collected the order. She was a little worried he might look up and see her so she hid behind a large plant. She saw him smiling and laughing. The way he moved and spoke was so different from when he was with her. Of course, he was with his daughter, family but she couldn't help but wonder if this was the real him or just a mask he wore.

Either way she suddenly felt sick and needed to get some air. She stepped outside and thankfully Tawnie joined her a moment later. Gwyne was a little worried she might want to introduce herself. That would have been bad, especially in front of his daughter. Gwyne doubted she knew about her father's infidelity and even if she did... it would just be 'awkward'. She wouldn't have wanted to meet her father's girlfriend. Of course Gwyne wasn't even Dawson's girlfriend they were just fucking.

Tawnie slapped her on the back snapping her out of her thoughts and asked if she was okay. Gwyne nodded but didn't know right now. Her head was swirling with all sorts of shit. They dropped the food off a few blocks away then got on the bus and went to one of their favorite bars. After two strong shots, Gwyne rubbed her eyes and finally felt like talking.

"Shit! I'm twenty-six and can't catch a fucking break!"

"Are you seriously that weirded out by his age?"

"Yes... no I don't know." said Gwyne. "I hadn't really thought about it, besides this weird dream I had the other night. It's just unexpected. In a matter of seconds he's gone from like thirty something, to forty maybe fifty, shit he could be sixty!"

"It shouldn't matter." said Tawnie. She took a sip of her drink then asked "Is the sex good?"

"It's great too great!"
"He's loaded right?"
"Yeah,"

"You have fun with him right?"

"Sometimes well most the time as long as he doesn't get too crazy."
"I bet you still have fun then too," she winked.

"I do but-"

"But nothing I don't see what the fucking problem is here! Have fun, fuck around until you get bored and then find someone else. If I could get my hands on a guy like him I don't care who's grandpa he is."

"Yeah." said Gwyne thinking she had solid points. What did it matter? Fuck what did it change that he was older? It wasn't like they were going to grow old together or something. She felt a twinge in her chest as the thought crossed her mind. She didn't know why but it bothered her. What if...what if she fell in love with someone who was that much older then her. Then what time could they have. She shook her head telling herself this was a stupid thought. There was no fucking way she was gonna fall in love with Dawson Hazely.

Tawnie snapped her fingers, "Gwyne, you there or what?"
"Sorry," she said realizing she was a bit tipsy. "I think I drank too much without eating anything I'm starting to feel it."

"Well let's finish these and lunch is on me." said Tawnie.

"Okay," said Gwyne she sighed and took another sip of her drink before saying. "I guess all of this just makes me realize how much I don't know about him or Corrie. Like I think I know them but they have these whole other lives and like parts to them I never see."

"Do any of us really know anyone?" asked Tawnie before throwing her drink back.

"I guess not." said Gwyne

Tawnie looked at the clock real quick and then hissed. "SHIT!"

"What is it?" asked Gwyne.

"I gotta go. I'm sorry I promised to babysit. I didn't think it was that late. I'd ask you to join but I'm sure you have other shit to do and kids have already taken up enough of your headspace today. Go get yourself something to eat and get yourself a cake or something." She threw some mints in her mouth paid their tab and was almost at the door by the time Gwyne reacted.

"Yeah okay, thanks for hanging out."

"We should do this again sooner then six months," teased Tawnie. "And when I'm not working."

"Okay," Gwyne laughed. They waved to each other and she left.

Gwyne laughed again to herself. She didn't think it had been six months since they'd last hung out, there was no way. Maybe? Again her sense of time was all over the place these days. She got up from the bar and wandered out into the daylight. She got herself a soft taco at a nearby stand then took several buses until she was back in her neighborhood. When she checked the time it was barely mid-afternoon. She debated doing something special for her birthday but in the end just stopped off at the store and bought herself a cake before walking home.

She kept thinking about Dawson and his daughter. She wondered what her name was and just how old she was. After a minute or so she let out a heavy sigh and told herself it was none of her business. None of it should matter to her, his family didn't have anything to do with this thing of theirs. Still she supposed it was a first for her to be with someone who was old enough to be a grandfather and have an adult daughter. She knew she should get used to it. The older she got the older her partners were going to get.

When she got inside. She put her cake on the kitchen counter and checked her messages. She got a message from Amber wishing her a Happy Birthday. She sent her a card and told her she'd gotten her latest letter. Gwyne hadn't written to her often but had sent her another letter when she was catching up on her bills. Amber sounded happy, retirement really seemed to suit her. It was a nice gesture to call and she looked forward to getting the card.

She opened a window then lit a cigarette. For a good minute or so, she wandered around her kitchen, looking for some birthday candles but didn't find any. She eventually settled on cutting a candlestick in half. She stuck it in the center of her cake then used her cigarette to light it. She made a wish then blew it out.

Afterwards, she grabbed herself a beer then cut a decent-sized piece of cake. She put the rest of the cake into the fridge, put out her cigarette and let out a heavy sigh. She ran her hand over her face before she leaned against her kitchen counter and gazed out the window. The sun was still out shinning brighter then ever. It looked like a nice day but she felt melancholy as she slowly ate her cake and finished off her beer.

She cleaned up then used the bathroom. After she wandered around her place, glanced at some of her hobbies then ultimately decided to collapse on the couch and see what was on TV. She started flipping thought the channels but a few seconds later there was a knock at her door. She wondered who it could be and answered it. She found a young good looking man leaning in her doorway. He was wearing tight leather pants and a mesh shirt. She had never seen him before but he quickly let himself in.

"Hello," he said

"Hello," she said slowly, thinking he must have gotten the wrong address.

He took a quick look around her place then smiled at her and said, "You must be Gwyne."

"Yeah," she said slowly. Before she could ask how he knew her name, he stepped up to her and kissed her. She was caught of guard but it was a nice powerful kiss. She resisted at first but the kiss was so good that she lost herself in it for a moment as he tangled his fingers in her hair. When they pulled apart she breathlessly muttered, "Who? Who are you?

"I'm you're birthday present." He smiled.

"My birthday present?" she sputtered.

"Tawnie thought you could use me."

"Oh you know Tawnie!"

"Yeah and I'd like to know you," he said kissing her again. She didn't resist this time. She let him kiss her and shut her door. Without another word he lifted her up and she wrapped her arms and legs around him. He was so hot and a great kissers to boot. She wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. He carried her into the kitchen and set her on the counter. For several minutes they made out as they pealed each others clothes off.

He admired her nipple piercings, taking each of her breasts in his hand. He gave them a good squeeze before sucking on her nipples. He ran his tongue around each of them before he playfully sucked on them and slightly bit at her nipple rings. He gave them a good tug with his teeth. She loved how it felt and threw her head back as he moved his hand down her stomach and to her crotch. He released her nipple ring from his mouth then said, "Tawnie said you've got a new piercing. Can I see it?"

"I don't know how new it is anymore but yeah." she said spreading her legs.

She watched him admire it before he got down and quickly took it and her clit in his mouth. He gave it a gentle suck and then began licking her clit. He wrapped the tip of his tongue around her ring and gave it a gentle tug. She ran her hands over him loving the warmth of his mouth and the strength of his tongue especially when he dropped even lower a second later and began eating her out. Usually she did not like this sort of thing but forgot herself as he did wonders with his tongue. She cried out as he acted like he was in some sort of pussy eating contest and he was determined to win!

She'd never had someone eat her out so aggressively. His tongue moved in ways she had never even dreamed of and the way he moved to suck on her clit was glorious. It didn't take her long to cum. It came on suddenly but the pleasure was a slow release that left her whimpering. He sought to keep going but she wanted to return the favor.

"My turn," she said pushing him back. She hopped down from the counter and dropped to her knees on the floor. She took hold of him and went all the way down on him sending him straight to the back of her throat and then down. When she pulled back she slowly sucked on him running her tongue over his member. His cock was quite delicious and from the sounds of approval he made she could tell her was enjoying himself. She pushed him down her throat again then pulled back slowly before swirling her tongue around him. She planned to pop him off but he took hold of her head and pulled her off him shaking his head.

"It's your birthday not mine." He chuckled.

"True," she said with a sly smile. She stood up then turned around and bent over the counter. He gave her ass a good hard whack and she cooed with enjoyment. It didn't take him long to place himself nor find her core. He slid in hard and deep just like she liked it. She put both her hands flat on the counter and cried out, "FUCKKK!"

Tawnie could sure pick them. He could suck and even though this was the first thrust it was very clear he could fuck. He moved slow but powerful. Each thrust slammed her into the counter sending her tits all over the place. The sound of her piercings madly clacking about filled the room.

He slid her across the counter as she groaned and moaned it was like he was brushing her teeth with his fucking cock. She enjoyed every inch of him and he didn't miss scrubbing every spot of her pussy with his top of the line cock.

She smiled and fell back as he put his hands under her knees and lifted her up, fucking her in the air. She liked filling him jut up inside her and put her hand down between her legs so she could feel his powerful cock as it glided into her. She laughed and cried out as she came again. It was nice heart-poundingly good. Her day was definitely improving! He pushed her back against the counter then bit at her ear before his whispered into it.

"Tell me what you like birthday girl. Do you like it fast, slow, hard or soft."
"Rough," she said without hesitation. "I love a good rough fuck. Fuck me up, real good and hard."

"Alright," he said then pulled out of her completely. He grabbed hair much to her surprise and roughly dug his fingers into it as he seductively whispered, "As you wish birthday girl."

He jerked her across the kitchen and tossed her into the bed. She didn't even have time to get up on her hands and knees as he came at her. He pinned her down and entered her hard. He didn't hold back and pounded her pussy good. She dragged her fingers into the sheets as a massive orgasm quickly thundered through her. Yeah that's it! That is what she liked and what she lived for a nice hard fuck.

She cooed as he jerked her about the bed tossing her around. As he lifted her left leg up into the air and slammed into her sideways she cried out, "Yes! YES! OH YES! Do whatever you want to me, fuck me up. She begged as he pounded into her. He gave her breasts a good slap and she cried out in delight as they stung, "Yes! Yes! More! More!

He slapped her again and again, her breasts, sides and back. The slaps were light compared to Dawson's. She could tell this guy was holding back but still enjoyed them none the less. After a few more slaps, he stopped, then twisted and contorted her about like they were in a wrestling match. He unleashed on her and she loved it!

At one point he grabbed her neck and squeezed as he furiously fucked the shit out of her. Unlike his slaps he didn't holed back! The mattress wildly squeaked and the headboard violently rattled against the wall. Her eyes rolled up into the back of her head and she nearly passed out but came so fucking hard. She clenched down on him popping him off inside her. He let go of her neck as he came and let out a mighty roar. They both collapsed then catching their breaths.

"Wow," he said after a second or two then to her surprise. "Want to go again?"
"Can you?" she asked raising an eyebrow. She let out a cough then chuckled.

"Oh yes I can!" he said. "I can go as long and as hard as you like."
"I doubt it," said Gwyne knowing she'd worked up quite the appetite and stamina these days. "But I'd love to see you prove me wrong."

He smiled at her and they went again. This time they did missionary. At some point mid-fuck, she realized he was the first guy she'd had over in a long time that wasn't Corrie. Usually she didn't invite rando's to her place in case they wanted more or it got weird. She also didn't want to risk them running into Corrie. She supposed he could come in at any moment and catch her. Catch her? She laughed as if they were married or something. No knowing him he wouldn't care. He would just leave and come back later... if at all.

She tried not to think about it and decided to just lose herself in this moment. It was her birthday after all. She might as well celebrate. They fucked in the bed a little more then moved to her small hallway and bathroom. They did it in the tub. Then on the toilet and against the sink. They took a little break to hydrate then she got adventurous. It was starting to get dark out and she went out onto her fire escape. He quickly joined her and the damn thing squeaked like mad they were fucking so hard.

After that he chased her up onto the roof and they fucked. It was really dark by then and as she rode him, she could throw her head back and look up and see the stars. She laughed happy to finally be fucking in all the places she'd wanted to try. No one was up there, no one saw them but it was risky. At one point he fucked her as she looked down at the street. She saw a few people walking by which only added to her excitement. Why they could look up at any moment and see her getting drilled by this young buck who didn't know when to quit. Maybe Dawson was right and she was an exhibitionist after all.

They made it back to her place and she bounced on top of him in her bed. At that point they were sweaty grinding the shit out of each other. Her sex was swollen but she didn't want to stop. She loved fucking so much and was surprised by her stamina. He was surprising too he must have fucked a lot she could definitely tell he was loving it. If things didn't work out with Dawson then at least she'd gotten something from it. He'd definitely increased her stamina and flexibility. She loved fucking before but now could go for hours on ends.

A some point they were on the floor and he ran his hands all over her body kissing and caressing her. It was nice they didn't know each other at all and didn't say a word to one another. This whole thing was just carnal. They just experienced one another again and again. Tawnie definitely knew her all too well, she had needed this. She needed a break from all the thinking and she couldn't think of a better way to spend her birthday then hours of endless sex. They went on well into the evening and probably would have gone all night, if her phone hadn't rang. They'd been on a bathroom break. He was taking a leak and she picked the phone up without thinking about it.
"Hello?"

"Hey." she heard a guys voice. It took her a second to recognize it was Corrie as he never called.

"Are you okay?" she asked

"Yeah, why?

"Well, you called and you never call. Did something happen?"

He laughed. "Nothing happened I'm okay."

"Okay," she said. She paused for a moment then asked "Are you doing the forest fires right now?" She'd seen something about it on the TV the other day while she was doing one of her new hobbies. A few fires had broken out near the west hills.

"Nah, I'm signed on but its actually dying down. They'll be finished with it soon."

"Really the news-"

"The news always blows these things up. That's why I tell you not to watch it."

"Right. Right." she said.

She heard the toilet flush and the guy walked out. She bit her lip for a moment she'd all but forgot about him. It was easy to forget everyone else with Corrie. The guy winked at her clearly ready to go again. He really was trying to prove her wrong. She turned away from him and asked Corrie. "So what's up?

"Mind if I swing by after my shift?"

"Sure when is that?" She asked as the guy came up behind her and grabbed her ass. She felt him touch her cigar scar. He poked it then traced it with his finger but didn't say anything.

"I'm finishing up a double so late maybe one or two. I know its short notice-"

She had no idea what time it was. She frantically looked at the clock and saw it wasn't even eleven yet. She let out a little sigh of relief then said. "No, no I'll be up!"

"So you'll be around?" He asked.

"Yeah." she said her chest fluttered for a second. This was all so weird Corrie calling and then telling her he was going to come over. She hoped this was a good thing unless he had something he need to tell her...which probably wasn't a good thing. What if he didn't want to make up but-

"So I can come over?" Corrie asked.

The guy bent her forward and she tried to dissuade him swatting him away but he was shameless and so was she. He started stroking his cock against her ass then pulled her back running his hands over her breasts. He gave them a good hearty squeeze and for a second she lost herself to the sensation.

"You there?"

"Yeah, yeah," she said. She felt weird talking to Corrie on the phone while this guy was feeling her up.

"So I can come over?"

The guy placed himself. Shit! She was beyond fucked up spreading her legs for him she let her tits fall on the kitchen counter and said, "Yeah that works for me, see you."
"Yeah," he said as the guy pushed into her. She closed her eyes and there was silents as he started pumping her into the kitchen counter. She waited but Corrie didn't say anything. After a good agonizing minute he said, "Uh, I better head back."

"Yeah," she said awkwardly, "Okay." Then she hung up and hung her head.

"Was that your boyfriend?" The guy asked still pounding into her.

"Yeah- No, I don't have a boyfriend." she said wiping her mouth. She threw her head back thinking that sounded so emo. "I mean I'm not with anyone just messing around."

"I like to mess around," he said giving her shoulder a kiss, "We gotta stop soon?

She stood there for a moment letting him slow pump her. She wasn't sure if she was happy Corrie was coming over or not but reminded herself it shouldn't matter. Whether this was a good thing or a bad thing the outcome with them would always be the same.

She sniffled and cleared her nose before she said "Nah, we're good for another hour or so. Unless you're getting tired."

"Ahh nah I'm not done until you are."

"Then do whatever you like I'm yours for the next hour or so."

"Ah ah you're the birthday girl," he said pulling out of her. He spun her around to face him, "Today I'm yours."

"Then," she said grabbing hold of his cock. "Don't stop!"

She gave his member a good squeeze and a nice yank toward her. He kissed her then lifted her up and took her back to the bed. They kept going and she tried to get lost, in the pleasure of it all but she just felt sad as he thrust into her. She stared up at her ceiling feeling empty. She had so many guys in her life and yet she felt so fucking alone. Wasn't that suppose to be one of the worst things... to be surrounded by people yet feel as if you were alone. The realization upset her but she didn't let it show. They tussled in the sheets a good while and nearly fell asleep when they were done. Thankfully she managed to keep an eye on the clock and sat up before it got too late.

She ran a hand through her hair then said, "You should probably get going."

"Can I call you?" he asked sitting up.

"You shouldn't."

"You didn't enjoy yourself?" he asked looking hurt.

"No I did you're good, really good. You proved me wrong. You can keep up."

"And then some," he said with pride, "But why can't I call you?"

"Trust me, my life is already complicated enough."

"Well maybe I can uncomplicate things."

"Right," she said like she hadn't heard that before.

He grabbed a nearby marker and wrote his number on her breast, "Well here is my numbers if you ever want to spend another day messing around. No strings attached."

More and more she was learning there were always strings attached but she didn't say anything, she just smiled. He got up, got dressed and left without another word. She sat there for a moment longer then realized the entire place smelled like sex. She opened all her windows and sprayed some air freshener before going to the bathroom. Given all they had done she should be feeling it but she was used to this kind of shit now and wasn't even all that sore.

She went to the bathroom then started the shower and examined herself in the mirror. They had gotten rough but it was still nothing compared to Dawson. She could clean most this up or explain it away or just say nothing. What did he care right? She furrowed her brow and looked at the number on her breast. She wasn't sure if it was going to come off but didn't care at this point. She wrote it down on the wall and just wrote birthday above it to remind herself in case she got 'peckish.' She shook her head feeling truly shameless. Here she was having fucked some random guy all day and now she was expecting Corrie.

She got into the shower and took a long one. She managed to scrub the number off and cleaned up rather nicely. She dried her hair and put it in a towel as her phone started to ring. She wondered who that could be. She went to the kitchen and answered it.

Before she could say hello Tawnie called out "You enjoy your gift!"

Gwyne let out a chuckle then answered "Thoroughly. Where you find him?"

"Around." said Tawnie "A girls got to have her secret's but I thought you could use a young stud after grandpa."

"How young was he?"

"I think he'll be nineteen soon"

"What! Shit! When did we get old?"

"I don't know about you but I'll be young forever."

"Right… Well, I owe you for your birthday."

"You know what I want!" Tawnie teased.

"That restaurant or tor meet Mr. Right Now?"

"Both if you can manage."

Gwyne laughed. "I'll see what I can do but I make no promises,"

"You doing anything else tonight?"

"I'll probably have more cake and Corrie is coming over later but other then that not much."

"Shit my gift, cake and Corrie too. You are a dirty girl,"

"Hey!"

"What! What!" Tawnie cried innocently.

"You know what."

'You want to come clubbing with me some night."

"Sure,"

"What no protest! No excuse!"

"Ehh," said Gwyne, "What can I say my birthday gift left me in a nice mood."

"Sweet, there are these guys I want you to meet!"

"Seriously."

"What, they got some good shit and are always up for partying."

"Let's just stick to dancing for a bit. At the rate I've been going my pussy could use a break."

"Nah, we are just getting warmed up. Gotta make up for lost time! Anyway I gotta go before this guy wakes up and finds me using his phone."

"Shit you called me from some dude's place."

"It's like one am you think my cousin wants me using her phone. Plus she complains when I bring guys to her place."

"I bet." said Gwyne.

"Right well catch you later."

"Later," she said.

She hung up and then shut all her windows as it was starting to get a little chilly. The smell of sex was gone but just to be safe she burned incense as she wiped down the counters and changed her bedding. She also gave the bathroom a good scrub. She checked herself out in the mirror put on some perfume and then cut some more cake before watching TV. She heard Corrie come in a little after two thirty in the morning.

He used his key and plopped down on the couch next to her looking absolutely exhausted. He yawned then said, "I need to shower but then we can talk."

"Okay," she said not turning away from the show she was watching," You want some cake?"

"Cake sounds amazing. You make it?"

"Nah bought it."

"Cool." he said getting up.

He staggered into the bathroom and she heard him use the toilet before the shower turned on. He was actually in there for a good while much to her surprise. She had time to finish her show. Wash her dish and then cut him a slice of cake. She set it down on the coffee table and almost went to check on him, when he stepped out drying his hair.

She gestured to the cake and sat down on the couch. She tried to act casual as she flipped through the channels but felt a little wound up. She still wasn't sure what he wanted to talk about. He threw the towel in the laundry bin then plopped down on the couch again. After a few seconds he picked up his plate of cake and began eating it, "You bought a birthday cake."

"Yeah," she said keeping her eyes focused on the TV. "It is my birthday, well was." she said looking at the clock. It was now well passed midnight.

He paused for a moment then said, "Oh, shit sorry,"

"What for? We don't celebrate holidays. I didn't expect you to know my birthday, I don't know yours." Her voice sounded strange to her...emotionless.

"Right." he said he sounded a bit somber, "Still uh, happy belated birthday. What are you twenty four?

"You're just digging yourself a well tonight," said said giving him side eye. She laughed then said. "Twenty six."

"Well happy belated twenty sixth."

"Thank you," she said as she watched some music video on the TV.

He started eating again and she quietly waited for him to talk. When he didn't she eventually turned to him and saw he'd up and passed out with an empty plate on his chest. She picked up the plate and threw a blanket over him. She turned off the TV then washed his dish before coming back. For a second she just stared at him and couldn't resist tussling his hair. When she pulled away her heart twinged and her chest ached. She really didn't want to care anymore but knew she still did. She...when it came to Corrie she just couldn't shut off her feelings. Maybe next year...she told herself as she let out a heavy sigh. She turned out all the lights then went to bed.
