Names
The cursed have gone by many names at different times and places:

Unawakened
The Infinite are reborn unaware of who they are and once were. They carry the 
memories of their past lives within them, though often they remain buried. 
Even when the memories themselves don’t surface, a cursed will tend to 
exhibit similar character traits and  personalities from life to life. 

They are also destined to meet again and are often drawn to unknowingly repeat
past behaviors. Even in their unawakened state, compared to others they are 
more resilient against injury and heal more quickly.

Partial Awakening
Sometimes a partial awakening can occur. A Infinite who has partially awakened 
will gain anything from  vague impressions to fragments of memories – and
sometimes abilities as well. Their soulstone may or may not have manifested.

Awakened
Fully awakened and connected to their soulstone, the curseds' memories will
return with time, allowing them full use of their knowledge and powers. Their
original personalities and traits will also slowly return. Their bodies will change, 
growing stronger and tougher until they reach their optimal state. 

They will be able to sense other Infinites andbecome nearly immortal, shrugging 
off injuries that would be lethal to others, and no longer succumbing to illnesses.
Once they reach their prime they stop aging.The more powerful they become 
the more their physical bodies will change.Full awakening’s are rare.

Soulstones
Each soulstone contains half of a curseds' soul and all the memories it carries.
While the other half of the soul only holds vague glimpses of the past, the 
soulstone absorbs the memories of each life at the moment of  death.  

Each soulstone bears the mark of infinity and  has a color unique to its Infinite.
When the Infinite it wearing it, it glows when it is seperated from the Infinite
it color goes dormant and can often come off as a normal stone, to those that 
don't know what they are looking for.

When seperated, the soulstone is drawn to its other half. If one knows how, it 
can be used to determine where the other half of the soul is. 

The soulstone itself can be used to exert a form of control over the cursed, if it 
falls into anothers’ hands.

Soul Chain
Originally when the Infinite died their stones would be separated from their
bodies. Unless they found their stone again, an awakening was near impossible.
After some time one of the Infinite discovered the secret to manipulating soul 
essence. 

While they were unable to free their soul from the soulstone, they were able to 
forge a link between it and the free half of their soul. This link allowed the 
soulstones to travel along with the free half of the soul, but it came with a price. 
With the soul chain the soulstone traveled with the spirit, but the carrier would 
have to manifest the stone before awakening and regaining memories - a 
difficult prospect when one does not remember it is even there. The chain, and
the stone, cannot be removed unless the wearer willingly removes it themselves. 

The Sigil

After awakening, an Infinite will discover that a sigil of infinity, unique to each
one, has appeared on their body. (With the exception of Urel and Luka who
have  two.) Upon close examination each sigil is made up of intricate ancient 
text.

Deaths

Death happens naturally and normally to the unawakened or partially awakened,
though they are often harder to kill, shrugging off injuries that would be lethal to 
others. Once awakened, their bodies no longer succumb to age or illness. Their 
body can be injured or even killed but repair itself. It takes a special ways to truly 
kill them.

Reborn:

The infinite can be reborn at any time, even if they all died at the same time in 
their last life. They can be born minutes, or sometimes even decades apart. They
are born within areas and times where they will eventually collide.

Connections:
In one way or another the twenty will always encounter one another. The stronger
their personal connection to one another, the greater their reactions will be upon 
encountering one another. Soulmates, friends, families or enemies may evoke a 
strong personal feeling, while lesser acquaintances may simply be noticed and 
then ignored.
