Velona lived only for his vengence. He didn't plan on surviving, especially if he was
caught. He used to be a sweet loving child but after the tragedies that befell him, he
became cold and cruel. He only ever used people as a means to and end.

When Korina came alone Velona didn't know what to make of these feelings, they
interferered in his plans. Eventually she became part of his plans and he began to
see a future after...everything.

Reasons it had 2 endings.
There is more to Crestmoore but it came at a tragic time in my life. I thought
to tie it off with another ending from a different life. Later when I was more
clear headed I went back and adjusted the ending.

I don't plan on doing a sequel, I like the idea of leaving it open to the reader 
should they imagine them meeting again, perhaps under different circumstances.
