Early Years

He is very protective of his family. In highschool he plays sports works out. When
his sister tells him her friend is in trouble and needs him to walk them home he does.
He picks up on things and stands up to Roan and his antics.
                       

Adult years
He still kept an eye our for Kiri from time to time while she was in highschool. For
a long time he saw her like a little sister. He knew she had feelings for him at one 
point but chalked it up to gratitude given what he'd done for her. He lost touch
with her after she graduated and was no longer a constent in his sister Polly's
life. He got married at one point but it didn't work out and they divorced. He sunk
into a deep depression and started to feel jaded about everything. He stopped
taking care of himself and took up drinking.

His sister usually tried to cheer him up and cleaned his place every now and then.
After she got pregnant Kiri started coming over instead. They slowly got to know
each other and became friends. They dated other people but at one point were
both single and Polly set them up with each other on a blind date. They thought
it was funny but still went on the date. They enjoyed it and kept going. He 
soon realized his feels for her. Like him she worried his feeling might be 
gratitude for her helping him but they both soon felt it was more then that 
and wanted to be together. They moved in together and he asked her to marry him.

During the events of Amends he became worried about her when Roan showed
back up. He tried to reason with him to stay away from her but they ended up
fighting. 

At one point he thought she was dead and started to drink again but when he
found out she was alive...he rushed to be with her.
