She went over what happened in her head again. It had been a trap from the very start. Urel had been one of Gigi's illusions. Keyoko hadn't stood a chance. This time she knew better! There had to be some way to take Gigi out. However, even if she somehow managed, she'd still have to deal with Urel and Eyo, on her own. Well...maybe she could hold out until Luka got there, but how long had that been?

She let out a heavy sigh trying to think, but realized she'd already made it to the top of the stairs. It felt like no time at all! Perhaps her sense of time was off, given all the shit that was going on. She let out another heavy sigh as Atoe opened the door for her, once again. Yet this time she stumbled back. She bit her lip and debated even going to the command center. Maybe she could make a run for it! Yeah, draw them out and separate them somehow, or at least find Luka. She took another step back, thinking maybe together they could-

"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!" Urel boomed over the loudspeaker. He could tell she was considering running. "You know what I can do Keyoko! Don't test my patience, anymore then you already have! COME TO ME NOW!"

She knew exactly what he could do and what he was going to do! Those bastards had already killed Harold. She wasn't going to let them kill Luka as well. If she ran now it would change things, but the outcome wasn't guaranteed. She didn't know what they would do in response. The future would be unknown again.

If she followed the same path as before, then at least she'd know what they were up to. She'd have a chance to do something about it. She took a deep breath and decided. She stepped through the doorway and made her way to the command center.

Atoe moved about on the floor and walls, seeking to show her the way, but she already knew where she was going. She barely glanced at the dead soldiers around her, knowing she needed a plan and now. Just how was she going to take Gigi out and 'handle' Urel and Eyo. She saw the door they'd pried open, her time was almost up. She furrowed her brow scrambling to think of anything.

Her breath caught in her throat as it dawn on her, Gigi might notice her acting strangely. If she suspected anything, she'd notify the others and everything would be over before it even began. She needed to believe Gigi's illusion was Urel. She needed to have an expression of utter dread. She made herself think of what would happen if she failed. She made herself think of Harold, of Luka and a wave of anguish came over her.

She entered the command center. All the desks had been moved like before, and in the center of the room, was the illusio- Urel. She focused on him, on how much she despised him. Atoe went to Urel, becoming his shadow. Urel offered his hand, beckoning her, "At last our true reunion."

She stopped several feet away, feeling sick like before. Urel grimaced. "Come now Keyoko. We both know, there is no fighting this."

She really wanted to snap and say something else, but she stayed on point. What had she said the first time around? "NO! I HATE YOU!" Her eyes had more spite in them and her voice radiated with emotion.

Urel stayed on script, he wagged his finger, taunting her. "Do you or do you HATE that you love it so much."

"I don't!" she protested, "I never wanted any of this! I never wanted you!"

"Right," he chucked before continuing in a mocking tone. "I forgot you're 'cursed!' If you'd simply accepted what you are, you'd be a lot happier, Keyoko. You can deny it all you want, but eventually you'll have to accept it. You're not cursed, you're simply a whore! My whore!"

He beckoned to her once again, urging her to take his hand, and take her place. She got ready to send shit flying at his head, but suddenly realized there wasn't anything to send. Shit! Last time she'd been so upset that she'd raised up several objects. This time she'd been focused on not messing up. What now! What was she going to do!

The illusion of Urel tilted his head, noticing her mood had drastically shifted, no doubt. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Shit was hitting the fan! Her eyes darted around the room, knowing the guys were closing in on her. It was now or never, she had to act, if she was going to change anything. Any second Eyo would grab her, by the back of her neck, and she'd be useless.

Her eyes flickered as she suddenly realized, she didn't need to take out Gigi! No, she was all show compared to Eyo. Gigi may have helped get Luka killed, but Eyo had taken Keyoko out of the fight altogether. She looked around the room, then turned, knowing his hand was coming. She could feel him enter her area of perception. She scrambled to think, should she burst him or something else, if she had a weap- She recalled Urel pulling out his ax from his stone. As Keyoko turned, she touched her stone, summoned her chakram.

She could feel Eyo reaching out. She brought her chakram up and severed something. She still couldn't see him, but felt something separate from him as he roared out and blood splattered all over her. She realized just how close she'd been cutting it...so to speak. If she wasn't freaked the fuck out, she might have laughed, but instead she spun around, sending out a large burst of air as she felt Urel closing in on her.

She felt him fly back and out of her area of perception. Eyo also pulled back, beyond her perception. The illusion of Urel, suddenly disappeared from the room, and Keyoko appeared to be alone, but she fucking knew better. Like a mad woman, she spun her chakram around her, in a mini tornado. She had to be careful, she hadn't used it in years, there were a few times when it came close and even graze her arm. It sliced her open, like giant paper cut. She seethed with pain, but didn't cry out. She slowed the speed of the chakram and focused her senses.

She tried to sense anyone who dared enter her area of perception. Any motherfucker she felt getting too close, was losing a limb or life. SHE WASN'T LOSING THIS TIME! Her heart pumped with adrenaline and her senses peaked as no one came close to her. She knew they were up to something! She had to act before they did! She looked around seeing specks of blood, Gigi hadn't managed to hide. She slowly followed the trail and could sense someone, maybe even another. She sent her chakram out and hit pay dirt!

It sunk into somebody and looked as if it were hovering in midair. A second later, all of Gigi's illusions fell away as she screamed her head off. Keyoko had hit her in the arm, and Gigi was finding it hard to focus. Keyoko also saw Eyo. Apparently she'd cut off his arm as there was nothing there, but a bloody stump. Gigi was trying to help him tie it off as blood went everywhere. It wouldn't be long before he bled out. Good! Keyoko thought as she pulled her chakram back with her powers. She planned to finish them off, then it would just be her and Ur-

She felt something or rather someone grab hold of her ankle. Their touch was cold! She knew it had to be Urel. His touch was always cold! Before she could react, he yanked her ankle with such force that it snapped as he took her to the ground. She fell hard and her screams filled the air, joining Gigi's. Urel got to his feet and began kicking the living shit out of her.

"YOU FUCKING BITCH! CUNT! WHORE!"

To say he was upset would be a vast understatement. After a few more kicks, he dropped down and climbed on top of her. He straddled her stomach and began beating her with his fists. He didn't hold back his punches. Over the years, she'd had many nightmares of Urel tearing into her. She realized now her memories of the pain had been dulled. It was nothing compared to what she felt now. She was in so much pain that she didn't notice Luka making his entrance.

After Luka got hold of himself, he went looking for Genoa and the others. He went back to the site and watched the military. He didn't know what they were up to, but they were everywhere. His gut told him they must know something. He incapacitated one of the soldiers that had strayed from the group, and stole his uniform.

From there, he blended in with a larger group of soldiers that were loading samples onto a truck. It helped that he'd been a soldier in several other lives. He knew how to keep his head down and not stand out. He managed to get on a truck that was heading back to base. He could feel the others as they got closer, and knew he was headed in the right direction. He also knew they might be able to feel him. He had no idea what he was walking into, just to be safe, he put his stone away.

Once he was in the base, he followed orders until he was able to break free and look around. He acted like he knew what he was doing. If anyone had stopped him, he planned to say he was on his way to the men's room or storage. Luckily no one bothered him, and he was able to clear an entire floor. He moved onto the next one, and tried to stay focused, but he kept thinking about what happened to Genoa.

He knew he'd messed up. He'd let the others into their home...their life and he'd left Genoa alone with that bastard. He- It was a lot to come to terms with. He did his best to shove it to the back of his mind. He kept telling himself it was his turn...his turned to take them down, and he didn't mean jail. He'd make sure every last one of them paid dearly. Then- Then- Then he didn't exactly know what he'd do...they'd do, given everything.

He noticed the lights flicker and he wondered if there was a problem with the power or something. He kept looking around, but soon ran across a map, at one of the elevators. He realized this place was way too big, to search in a matter of hours or even days on his own. He sought out the security room, then got lucky finding a mop and bucket. When he got to the command center they didn't even question him. They just assumed he was doing his job.

He was able to get to the security room and surprisingly found it nearly empty. The two guys that were station there seemed distracted. One of them looked like he was about to pass out from boredom, while the other was reading a book. Luka was able to look over the cameras and quickly found Genoa. He also located Eyo and Urel but something wasn't right.

He soon realized the footage was on a loop. He saw the moment it flipped over and started again. No one seemed to have noticed, and he wondered how long this had been going on. He knew it couldn't be good. He figured out where Genoa was being held and hoped she was still there. He cleaned up a bit then made his way back to the elevators.

He had a close call, when someone important stepped out of the elevator. The guy was with several men. Luka worried there might be trouble as he saluted and stepped out of the way. The guy in charge, just nodded and walked off with his entourage. Luka let out a heavy sigh of relief, when he got into the elevator, but his relief didn't last long. Some other dude got on, when the elevator stopped off at the next floor. Once again, Luka worried there might be trouble, but the guy just grumbled about the overtime not being worth it. Luka nodded and grunted along, pretending to be fed up as well.

It took him longer then he would have liked, but he eventually got to the floor Genoa was on. Things were much more secure down here, and he had to be very careful. Just to get on her floor he needed a security card. It was just his luck that no one seemed to be around. He was hoping to follow someone onto the floor or zap someone and take their security card.

In the end, he decided to overload the power grid. He took out his stone and gave the cardscanner a good surge of electricity. It shut everything down for a good thirty seconds or so, but once it started back up again he was in. He went to her room and found she wasn't there. He realized she must have been moved and punched the wall a little too hard. He nearly broke his hand and ended up leaving a fist impression in the metal wall.

He let out a heavy sigh as he let his head fall back. He closed his eyes and tried to think about what he was going to do next, when he heard a radio. He opened his eyes and saw a soldier coming down the hall. He got an idea and quickly knocked the soldier out with a zap. He took the radio then dragged the soldier into the room, Genoa was suppose to be in. He hoped to find out where they took her or at the very least, if they were on to him.

He found out the lower floors weren't responding. They sent some men down, to check it out, but they hadn't responded either. Luka had a bad feeling about this, and sure enough, not even five minutes later, the distress call came out. He could hear the sound of gunfire in the background. The alarm sounded and after enough lifetimes he just knew it had to be Urel.

As everyone moved into lock down positions, he kept looking for Genoa. He heard more gunfire and some explosions. It didn't take long for the base to be taken over. He knew Urel and the others had won, when the alarm turned off, and Urel called out to Genoa...Keyoko, on the loudspeaker. He wanted her in the command center.

Luka started heading there but thought better of it. He knew they might recognize him and he'd lose his advantage. Right now, they didn't know how long he'd been awake and just what he could do. He wanted to keep it that way. He also... admittedly had other reasons to hide his current identity.

His chest ached as he heard Keyoko call out to him. It took him a good minute or so to realize she wasn't there, but in his head. He wondered if she'd sensed him or was just hoping he was in range. Either way, whether she knew he was here or not, he didn't respond. He decided to limit there contact as much as possible until he knew what he was going to do about them.

He made it to the command center and saw their trail of destruction everywhere he looked. He planned to lay low until he could find an opening. He knew he couldn't take them all out, at once, but he might be able to pick them off one at a time. He froze hearing a woman scream. A second later, he let out a sigh of relief, realizing it wasn't Genoa.

He wondered if it was Gigi. He grimaced thinking of her. He couldn't believe he'd ever been attracted to that two faced bitch. It was because of her, he'd let his guard down. He wouldn- He suddenly heard another woman scream. His entire body reacted this time. A chill ran up his spine, his chest sunk, and his heart raced as his breath caught in his throat. He knew that scream all too well, and moved without thinking.

He couldn't ignore her cries. They always had a way of getting to him. He knew it wasn't just in this life. He stormed into the room and was surprise by what he saw. Eyo was missing a hand, Gigi was screaming as she clutched her bloody arm and Genoa...Keyoko was on the floor...and Urel was beating the ever living shit out of her!

Everything inside of him wanted to rip that bastard off her, and tear him apart, but he had to be smart about this. Urel was distracted, whether Luka liked it or not, it gave him a second to focus on the other two. He honed in on Eyo, then charged. Eyo was so focused on tying off his arm that he didn't notice Luka until it was too late. He roared out as he turned and tried to pull his morning star, from his stone, but Luka plunged his sword into Eyo's chest, right through the heart.

Gigi kept screaming as she took notice of Luka. She tried to scramble away as he glared at her. He couldn't tell if she recognized him. Even though he was wearing a mask, he knew she could read people. He hoped the only thing she read on him now was murder. Luka pulled his sword from Eyo and went after her, but Urel sent his shadow out. Luckily, Luka saw it at the last second and turned his attack, slicing at the shadow. He electrified the blade as it tore through the creature, sending black sludge spraying everywhere.

Urel must have forgotten he could take out his shadow. When Luka pulled back, he couldn't help but taunt him. "Forget about that did we!"

Urel let out a roar of frustration and pulled a gun from his back. Luka raised his hand as Urel fired on him and diverted the bullets, sending them into the wall and floor. Urel cursed, then threw the gun to the floor and pulled out his double sided ax from his stone. It was time to end this! Luka raised his sword and quickly closed in on Urel. He planned to fight with everything he had! He wasn't going to lose this time!

Luka's sword clashed against Urel's ax as the two men engage in combat. They glared at one another for a moment, then leapt back. They moved away from the others before exchanging blows, but neither got in a decent hit. They pulled back and circled around each other before Urel leapt forward, unleashing a barrge of attacks. Luka pulled back, but Urel madly pursued him. He was still a bit rusty with his ax, but he wasn't about to lose.

Getting control of the command center had been a piece of cake. Thanks to Gigi's illusions, they were able to walk right up to the reinforced door. The soldiers were confused as they heard Urel and Eyo pry the door open, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. One of them managed to figure it out as they tossed in a few grenades, but by then it was too late. Most of the soldiers were taken out in the explosions, and the rest were cleaned up within minutes.

They did another sweep of the area, to make sure it was secure, then Urel headed to the security room. Atoe had yet to find Keyoko so he looked over the security cameras, while Eyo turned off the alarm. Once he located her, he quickly redirected Atoe. Everything with Atoe, still felt so strange, it was like being in two places at once. He was both in the security room, looking at the camera's and in the stairwell. He could see thought Atoe's eyes though it was like looking through mesh.

He found a soldier aiming a gun at her. He made quick work of the man, through Atoe, and then there she was before him. She always had this glow about her, but seeing her through Atoe's eyes, she was like the sun...a siren calling out to him, once more, and he couldn't wait to get her up here. It was as if nothing else mattered in all of existence. His own feelings mingled with Atoe's and only seem to become stronger.

He called out to her on the loudspeaker and didn't take his eyes off her, on either end. She would never be out of his sight again. He watched her dragging her feet, but she could not escape the inevitable. She was his and always would be. When it looked like she might take off, he reminded her not to piss him off, more then she already had. Once he was certain she was coming, he got everything ready.

The plan was simple. Atoe would guide Keyoko into the room. Then Gigi would use an illusion of him to distract her. The three of them would stay hidden around the room until Eyo could sneak up behind her, and drain her. He didn't want a repeat of earlier. He knew she wouldn't be able to muster up that kind of power for a while, but she could still do some damage, and time was of the essence.

Once she was no longer a threat, Eyo would handle things while he took a minute or two, to release some 'tension.' Yet the CUNT had to go and fuck it all up! Just as he thought they had her, something seemed off. She suddenly looked around the room, then turned and fucking cut off Eyo's hand, with the chakram he'd given her for protection eons ago. He knew she could feel the air move around her, but he also knew she had a tendency to get easily distracted. He figured she'd be too wound up, in her rage against him, to notice someone coming up behind her. Yet it was like she already knew what they were up to.

Any hope that she would simply submit vanished. He realized they would need to have quite a few of their 'talks.' Admittedly he didn't mind. It was easier when she submitted, but a part of him also loved when she fought. He enjoyed the struggle, the look of defiance in those big beautiful eyes of hers, when she thought she could dare defy him. There was something satisfying, about breaking her down, and putting her in her place, time and time again.

He dropped to the floor as she threw her chakram into Gigi. Keyoko was so bent on destroying the others that she didn't notice him, slide up on her. He was able to snap her ankle and she went down. He got to his feet as she cried out. Her screams were like music to his ears. His urge to fuck, quickly turned to one of carnage. He went at her, and they were in the process of having one of their 'little talks,' when Eyo suddenly roared out. He glanced up for a second, and realized everything had gone to shit.

He'd let his guard down, because of this dumb fucking cunt. She had a way of distracting him, like no one else. As Luka went after Gigi, he snapped into action and sent Atoe out...only to realize, he'd messed up yet again. Luka turned and was able to injure Atoe. Once more, he could feel the bond they shared as the sword went through Atoe, it felt like it was going through him.

It hurt like nothing else, but he didn't let it show. Enraged, he pulled the gun from his back and unleashed a furry of bullets. Of course, it was just mistake after mistake. The asshole diverted the bullets into the wall and floor. He threw the gun as he realized he wasn't thinking clearly. Again it was all her fault! He should be balls deep in her right now, instead of fighting this idiot once again.

He pulled his double sided ax from his stone, and decided there would be no more mistakes. The two clashed several times before he unleashed a barrage of attacks. He hoped to overwhelm Luka, and get in a killing blow, but the piece of shit was just too quick. Urel could feel himself tiring. He didn't know how long the dumbass had been awake, and just how skilled he was. Right now Luka was on defense, but Urel knew if he let up even for a second, Luka would take the chance to attack, and Urel's current lack of experience would be his downfall. He increased his attacks but kept missing.

Keyoko rolled onto her side and split up blood, her mouth was full of it. She was in so much pain and could only see out of one eye, but at least she was conscious and could still move. She watched Luka and Urel battle once more. It was similar to the last time. Urel kept attacking and Luka kept dodging.

She watched Luka for a minute and smiled to herself. It hurt but she couldn't help it. Once again she was happy to see him. She longed to hold him in her arms and...and. She felt herself nodding off a bit as her eye focused and unfocused. She fought to stay awake. She needed to help. She forced herself to sit up and suddenly felt nauseous. The room felt like it was spinning. She fell forward and threw up.

Luka noticed and got distracted, if only for a second, but it was enough time for Urel to graze him. Luka cried out and Keyoko gasped, seeing he'd gotten hurt. She watched the two dance around each other, and it looked like Urel might have the edge this time. He wouldn't let up, going harder then ever, now that he'd drawn blood. Luka had to move even faster to avoid his attacks, but managed to get behind him and slashed him across the back, like last time.

Urel nearly tripped over his own feet once again, as he stumbled away. Luka went after him, and for a minute, they did circles around the room. Urel flipped his ax, then turned around and began attacking Luka with the handle. It had a sharp point on the end, and she watched the handle extend until it was like a spear. Urel jabbed at Luka so hard and fast that he was barely able to keep up with his sword. He had no choice but to retreat.

Urel now chased Luka, they went around the room several more times, before Luka turned and tried to fight back. The spear clashed against his sword and he managed to block it twice, then dodge, but as the spear came in once more, it impaled his shoulder. It nearly went all the way through as Luka roared out in pain. He struggled to pull himself off the ax handle and staggered back.

Urel got a smug grin on his face as he flipped his ax once more, then took a swing. He nearly got Luka, grazing the mid section of his uniform. She gasped once more and covered her mouth as she saw the fabric had been cut open. Urel swung again and Keyoko held her breath. She was sure this was it, but Luka leapt back, pushing off hard. He went several feet into the air, and managed to put some sold distance between them.

He took a moment to catch his breath and check on his shoulder. There was so much blood! Urel whipped his head to the side, and Keyoko thought he was looking at her, to boast no doubt! However she suddenly felt another moving around behind her. She turned and saw it was Gigi! She had stopped screaming and Keyoko had forgotten all about her, yet again!

Gigi was already reaching for the gun! Urel must have given her the signal! It was happening again, like last time! Keyoko knew she didn't have a second to spare! She raised her hands and put everything she had into lifting Gigi up. She got off a shot, but Keyoko managed to get her airborne, before she could make anymore. Urel took this moment to strike, she saw him charge Luka out of the corner of her eye. She suddenly got an idea, and killed two birds with one stone, hurling Gigi into Urel.

They both fell to the floor, but neither were knocked out. However it gave Luka his chance. He darted forward and brought his sword down on Urel's neck, before he could get out from under Gigi. The blade cut halfway through but stopped, given Luka's injuries. He had to raise his blade a second time before he was able to fully sever Urel's head. It rolled onto the floor and came to a stop. She could see the look of shock on Urel's face. His eyes kept moving until they saw her, then fixated on her until he succumbed.

His unyielding gaze, even in death sent a shiver down her spine. She looked away in disgust, then got to her feet or rather foot as the other one was jacked up. Gigi managed to pull back and was trying to crab walk away. She remind Keyoko of a bug scurrying across the floor. She tried to bring up her illusions, and Luka raised his sword to go after her, but Keyoko shot out her hand and hissed.

"NO! THIS BITCH IS MINE!"

Keyoko lifted her chakram off the floor and ran it through Gigi's chest like a saw. Then she had it come back around and split Gigi's head down the middle. As Gigi's body sunk to the floor, Keyoko dropped to one knee, feeling weak and uneasy. She realized she'd overdone it with her powers and her injuries were getting to her. She'd forgotten her ankle had been snapped, because of the adrenaline and everything going on. She collapse the rest of the way to the ground and nearly passed out.

Luka rushed to her. "ARE YOU OKAY!"

She coughed, sputtering up more blood "Are you okay!" she spat

"No," he chuckled. She could see the hole, Urel's spear at left in his shoulder and a bullet wound in his arm. Gigi had gotten him. It wasn't ideal, but better then nothing.

"At least this time you're alive!" said Keyoko.

"This time?"

"Long story," said Keyoko. She reached out to him from the floor. She expected him to take her hand, but he didn't. He turned away from her.

"Luka," she called confused. "What's wrong?"

He kept his back to her. "When you're able. I need you to get up and get out of here."

"What?" said Keyoko, even more confused.

"You heard me." said Luka there was a sharpness in his tone.

"Why!" she gasped painfully. "I don't understand!"

"You don't need to understand. I want nothing to do with you in this life. It's as simple as that."

"What!" She cried letting her hand fall to the floor. She tried to think of what she'd done. Had they left off on bad terms, in their last life. If so she couldn't recall in his moment, or maybe… maybe he had someone else."Is there someone else?"

He paused for a second then said, "Yes."

She closed her eyes feeling sick, but knew it could happen. Who knows how long he'd been up, and just what he'd been doing all these years. Just because they were awake didn't make their current lives or loved ones disappear. Her heart ached. She tried to be understanding but it hurt. She wasn't going to give up on them so easily. She'd waited a long time for him.

"I'll wait," she said. "I'll wait for you."

"DON'T!" He snapped. "It's not going to happen in this life. Don't waste another second waiting on me. I want you to live your life. You don't have to be afraid anymore. I'll take care of the others, I'll make sure they can't hurt you or anyone else."

His voice sounded strange…yet familiar somehow. "Luka."

"Please Keyoko, please for once just listen and do as I say. Please just let this be." She could see he was shaking slightly. She wasn't sure if it was because of the pain or the emotions.

She herself, choked up not wanting to go. "Luka."

He walked across the room and just stood in the doorway. He was no doubt waiting for her to get up and leave. She sniffled trying to do as he asked. She looked at her ankle and cried out as she reluctantly set it. He glanced back at her as she was ripping up more of her jumpsuit. She hoped to tie it off but doubted it was going to help much.

Luka wiped his mouth, then got a first-aid kit off a wall in the room. He didn't hand it to her, but slid it across the floor so she could reach it. He really didn't want anything to do with her. She felt crushed, but she looked through the kit and found some things she could use. She wrapped her ankle more, and treated a few of her other injures, before she struggled to her foot once again. She hopped about gingerly. She knew it was going to take her forever to get out of here.

She leaned up against one of the desks then said, "Jezza."

"What." Luka said.

"Jezza's up she is somewhere around here. I think they killed her but-"

"I'll find her. After I finish cleaning up here. Don t worry about it. Don't worry about anything. I got this." said Luka, still refusing to look at her.

Keyoko paused staring at the back of his head. There was something so familiar about his voice. She wondered if she knew him? "What was that?" she asked needing to hear him again.

"I said I got this, now go!"

"I got this. I got this. I... got...this. I GOT THIS!" She repeated it several times to herself, then gasped as her chest began to ache. She couldn't help but think of her brother. He used to say that- "No! No way." she paused taking in the thought, it couldn't be, still she choked "Harold?"

Luka stiffened and she just knew it was him. She began to sob. He closed his eyes, trying to ignore her, but he could-. Keyoko reached out to him and he went to her. The two hugged each other tightly for the longest time.

When they pulled apart, Keyoko trembled with such emotion, "I thought you- YOU!" She was just so happy to have her brother back. For a moment she forgot herself. She forgot about the curse and Keyoko and Luka. They were just Genoa and Harold. She held him again for the longest time, and the deep well of sadness in her heart, started to fill up. She was just so relieved so grateful to know he was still-

Luka let go of her and pulled back. Keyoko reached out to him, but then pulled her hand back as it hit her. She moved her hand to her mouth, realizing nothing would ever be the same between them. She now knew why Luka had tired to push her away. She sobbed as it sunk in that her soulmate, and her big brother, were one in the same. She felt sick, knowing they could never be together, not as Harold and Genoa and nor as Luka and Keyoko.

"It's not fair." she choked "It's not fair!"

"I know, I know" he said, clearly having come to the same conclusion. He held her once again and closed his eyes "Once you're out of here. I want you to go far, far away. I want you to live your life."

"No." she gasped, "I can't! I can't let you go, not again I- I-"

"Yes, you can," said Luka, pulling back.

He opened his eyes and grasped hold of the sides of Keyoko's face. He looked her in the eyes and said. "You and I both know, the longer we're around each other, the more powerful this will get. I will always love you. YOU! No matter how far, no matter how long it is before we meet again. Remember that I love you and I want you to have beautiful life."

She reached out, feeling his mask it was wet with tears. She cried. "I love you, I love you sooooo much! Everything you did for me. I know I wasn't easy. Heh, I know I'm never easy. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I couldn't save you."

"Hey, hey, you tried to warn me countless times. I wouldn't listen" he sniffled "Don't blame yourself. It's okay."

"You didn't know," said Keyoko "You couldn't have really known until you did. Even I had doubts."

Luka nodded understanding, for a moment he slipped up and leaned into her. They touched their foreheads together and the barrier between them slipped away. He felt such joy, to be reunited with the one he loved most, in all of existence. She too felt the same as their hearts beat as one. Their lips drew dangerously close. It was hard but he managed to pull free, and shoved her back.

Keyoko fell against the desk and understood now more then ever, why they couldn't be together. She longed to kiss him, but he was her brother. She turned her head away in shame. She pushed herself to hop off. She vowed to hold it together until she was alone in the elevator. Then she would probably break down.

It took her several minutes, but she got out into the hall. The elevator doors suddenly opened. She saw soldiers in masks with guns. She quickly turned and painfully hobbled back into the command center. She saw Luka had fallen to his knees on the floor. He'd removed his mask and his head was buried in his hands. This was just as hard for him.

He looked up, seeing she'd come back and spat, "DAMN IT KEY!"

"SOLDIERS," she cried, hobbling over to him.

He stood and looked past her, to see a dozen or so soldiers, entering the room. He motioned for her to get behind him and she did.

"Luka what are we-"

"Shhhh," he said putting his hands up.

Keyoko nodded and then she was hit with the first wave of thoughts. She sunk down to the ground as they flooded her mind. The soldiers had orders to take them out. "Ahhh"

"Key," said Luka glancing back at her.

He wanted to help her, but kept his hands up. The soldiers continued to file into the room. There were so many of them, and they all had their guns pointed at him and Keyoko. Talk about overkill! Luka quickly used his magnetism, but none of the guns came to him. He realized they were made of plastic. Someone knew about his abilities! Of course, Keyoko had said Jezza was back! She must have told them. He had a bad feeling about this but still had to try.

He shifted his gaze and said "Please, don't shoot, we're not your enemy. We're friends of Jezza!"

Keyoko's mind rattled with the soldiers focus. They were all waiting on orders from Greegis Rogers….Rogers? Was he related to Jezza, wasn't her name something...something. Keyoko painfully rubbed her head, finding it hard to focus. A moment later, a man entered the room. Luka knew at once he was in charge, from the way the soldiers side eyed him, and all the awards on his uniform.

Luka tried to explain once again. "Please, the people we just killed, are the ones who took over your base. They're very dangerous!"

"I know," said the man in charge "Believe me, I know just how dangerous they are."

Somehow that didn't bring Luka comfort. Before he and Keyoko could do anything, the man in charge, raised his hand and gave the kill order. The men opened fire on them and they didn't stand a chance, within seconds they were both dead.

When their deaths were confirmed, Greegis Rogers ordered the soldiers out. He looked down at all the dead bodies and then got on his radio and quickly confirmed the situation. "Hostiles have been eliminated." A second later, a tear in space opened up. A beautiful young man stepped into the room. He looked about and said, "My, my, this is a mess."

"I'm sorry, Yawna" said Greegis Rogers. "We arrived too late."

"I'm sure you did what you could," said Yawna waving him off. "I'm only here for-" The young man paused, seeing Urel's head on the floor, "Oh Master!"

He quickly picked the head up and walked it over to Urel's body. He delicately set it down where it should be, then ran his hands over Urel's body. He shook with emotion to see his master in such away. Another tear in space opened up under Urel, and he was soon resting in a bed somewhere else. The young man closed the tear and stood.

"Raoul, will come for the others, shortly, long before they'll recover. See he gets whatever he needs."

"Yes sir," said Greegis Rogers.

"Don't worry Avery," said Yawna turning to Greegis Rogers, "Our deals still good, your little country and daughter should be safe as long as you continue to obey."

Greegis Rogers nodded as another tear in space opened up. Yawna stepped through and it closed a moment later, leaving Greegis Rogers alone in the command center. He looked out at the death and destruction around him, and shook his head. He knew he'd made the right decision but it was still hard.

Ever since the day his daughter had first told him about Urel, and all that he had done. Greegis Rogers knew a choice had to be made. Prepare to fight and risk losing or surrender and survive. Now that Urel was truly back, he knew things were going to become rather difficult. Especially, between him and Krissy but no matter the consequences, he'd always do what was necessary, for her and for their people.

His radio went off, "Greegis Rogers,"

"Yes,"

"We've located your daughter."

"I'll be there shortly," he said taking one last look at the carnage. He let our a heavy sigh knowing there would be more to come.
